Housemates Salone Season 2 Contestants
On Sunday 18 October, Housemates Salone Season 2 Reality TV Show commenced with 22 contestants out of 52 applicants who participated in a Quarantine Drama that started on 14 October and ended on 18 October; 20 contestants were selected to go into the House to battle for Two Hundred and Fifty Million Leones (Le 250m) that many have been yearning for.
One of the organizers of the show, Phibean Swill Randall said, “Out of the Fifty-Two (52) applicants who participated in a Quarantine Drama that started on the 14 October 2020 and ended on the 18 October, these 22 deserving Housemates were determined by voters. The 22 housemates now have the daunting task of battling it out to the Grand Final,” she explained.
She confirmed that allowances of One Hundred Thousand Leones would be giving to contestants for each day they spend in the house which would be accumulatively given to them whenever they are evicted.
In his statements, the Media Manager Africell Sierra Leone, John Konteh said evictions will continue until the ultimate winner emerges. He added, “Manifestation of jokes and some strong expressions would really make the Reality TV Show very interesting to watch, providing some form of comic relief for viewers and serving as a therapy to reduce stress. The main rationale behind putting together Housemates Salone Season 2 is to promote youth empowerment,” he said.
John explained that the contestants would be assigned various tasks to perform that could shape their characters. “They will be availed the opportunity to learn new skills and improve on existing ones. They will also be emotionally tested, afforded the space to find solutions to certain human problems and do a host of other things,” he explained.
He noted that the housemates would benefit from widespread exposure as the show would be watched near and far. “Talents will be spotted and a lot of opportunities would be opened as some of the Housemates would be earmarked to become brand ambassadors, movie artists, models etc. The Housemates stand to benefit from motivational lectures and added to that they will be availed the opportunity to socialize, learn how to play different games, and how to speak fluently,” he stressed.
